Q & A with Rachael Thompson

What do you consider your job description?
As HR Director, I wear many hats: teacher, counselor, mediator, event planner, and sometimes disciplinarian. I am responsible for setting the bar for our employment hiring and training policies and ensuring that our staff has ease of access to all our benefits platforms.

What skills do you bring to the playing field?
Teamwork is built on communication and listening to employee needs. I feel that I am a naturally positive person; I try to leverage that daily, motivating myself and others to be their best. We all have room for improvement in both our personal and professional lives – approaching that message with a positive tone goes a long way.

What do you most enjoy about your job?
The sense of family around our workplace. Keeping a close-knit atmosphere has been an underlying principle of our success as we grow. The work is hard, but our company truly values people on a personal level. It makes me proud to work here and makes the hardest of days just as great as the easier ones.

What are your secret superpowers or skills?
I am a pretty awesome pool player. I may be the ranking champion of ASM. I also have an uncanny ability to deliver discipline with a smile.

When not at All Service Moving we’ll find you:
Eating fried chicken with my hubby and baby and spending time with my family.

The one thing you can’t live without?
Snuggling with my puppy, my partner and our new bundle of joy.

Personal motto?
You can’t start a new chapter if you’re busy re-reading your last one.
